Yes, the US Clinical Mentorship Program does help you with that, however that is not the true goal of this program.

US Clinical Mentorship Program goal is to help Non-US IMG becomes the kind of physician people want to work with. Therefore, match to US Residency becomes the natural outcome.

The bottomline is, if you’re a non-US IMG preparing to enter the U.S. clinical environment, and you want to become more than just a strong candidate/applicant, instead, you want to become the physician your colleagues rely on and your patients trust with their lives — this program is for you.

we are going to achieve that goal by building skills, traits, and characters. balancing your hard skills (competence) with your soft skills (warmth).

USCE Prep Course, Weekly Meeting and Networking Events has all the lectures, quizzes, case practices that help you achieve this.

In order to obtain my letter, you must:

1. Complete all the lessons in USCE Prep Course
2. Pass the quizzes I provided, (you need to get the score >60% all of the quizzes),
3. You need to pass FIRST ATTEMPT, NO REPEAT ATTEMPTS ALLOWED.
4. Attend at least 2 weekly meetings and become an active participant
5. You cannot finish the course earlier than 2 weeks. I am able to monitor your activities inside the course. If you binge watch and complete everything too fast, that defeats the purpose of the course.  the course helps you to improve your skills, traits, and attributes to become high quality US Physician. I would only give LoR to those that are genuinely wants to learn.

Once you completed all the requirements, strong, personalized letter of recommendations is pretty much guaranteed.

YES ABSOLUTELY. Because LoR does not have to be associated with rotations. People can get LoR from working with a research mentor for example.

I would mention that you have been mentored by me, completed x number of cases, learn about US healthcare system, practice documentation, case presentation, chart review, etc (basically all the things that you do inside the us clinical prep course). Inside the course, you can put a comment on the case and we can engage in discussions. I would also mention the content of those discussions to make it personalized. You also attend the weekly meeting which contains additional lectures for communication and interpersonal skills, didactics like morning reports, etc. Finally, we should meet virtually so I can get to know you personally.

The clinical rotation followed my institution policies, and that would be observership in nature. However, please check your email for more information.

No, everyone is welcomed. although I highly recommend you complete step 2 ck first before coming in, because your medical competence is something that I also assessed.

through the networking event, and my institutions, there are inpatient and other rotations available as well. However, as I said, its a catch22. the program is available, but usually there is no one willing to precept, because you are a stranger. That's why I create the mentorship program, let's get to know each other, and I can help introduce you and vouch for you!

You are paying for the clinical education, mentorship, and networking events that I arranged. You are not paying for the rotations. Once you get the new connections to get the USCE, the fees are dependent on that preceptors/clinic/institution. Pretty likely there will be some administrative fees.

I understand Non-US IMG have issues with the fees. I am Non-US IMG too!

First of all, I tried to provide as much value as possible in US clinical mentorship program: it takes time, effort, experience, and expertise to create the course. in addition, you pay for the clinical education, mentorship and networking events that I arranged. I work daily to find connections, arrange the meeting, continuously providing you with USCE opportunities, so YOU DON'T HAVE TO. That takes time and energy, and I think it's fair to ask for incentives for the work I do.

However, most importantly, the fees are actually more important for you! When you pay for something, especially if the price is right, it creates commitment.

Therefore, the price is adjusted to a point where all Non-US IMGs should be able to afford it, but requires a leap of faith to make the commitment.
